SONY SET UP

This page is linked from our general set up page, make sure to read it first here.

DESKTOP & INSTALLATION SET UP:

  1. Plug the camera and its data cable into the OUT port of the small black POE injector ( Trendet or TP-LINK )
  2. Power up the hardware
  3. Fix the camera
  4. Click the “SET UP & IMAGE CHECKER” url on your sent access sheet.

The image checker is a URL that commands the camera to take an image. This will download to your browser in seconds. Once recieved, this tells you every component in the system is working and at the same time you can check the image view.

ADJUSTING THE LENS

Take the dome cover off and you can move the lens, left, right, up, down & around.

REMOTE MANAGED FAILOVER

Any 20MP camera needs a strong and none problematic 4G cellular signal. If you are unlucky and hit a problem, we have created in-house software. Our server will transfer the images from your on camera storage, and will do this remotely. If required, we can also set a lower resolution stream to the web-portal for monitoring, then use the on-board images for post production.

ZOOM AND IMAGE SETTINGS.

If you are not confident making changes to the camera, just ask us and we will be happy to make the changes for you. The lens is an optical zoom 2.9x, clear image zoom 2.0x, digital zoom 2.0x with a total zoom 11.6x. Most of the time, the camera does not need any changes. Its adaptive to its scene.

ITS BETTER TO MAKE ANY CHANGES “LOCALY” WHEN YOUR LAPTOP IS CONNECTED TO THE SAME 4G ROUTER THE CAMERA IS

SOLAR DEPLOYMENTS, whats what !

This will depend on what antenna you have gone for, your box could include:

1 x Bag with the 4G Routers mains power lead ( for bench testing ) and the routers terminal block powered lead ( for solar ). The solar DC poe injector is attached to the DIN rail but we also include a sperate mains powered POE injector for your bench test.

1 x Bag with metal strapping for the camera and 25MM Cable Glands. – If you are using the pole mount White high gain antenna, this feeds in through the single cable gland, drilled to the left.

1 x Bag with the metal enclosures accessorys, screws for the foam at the top, corner brackets if required and plastic stoppers for any holes ( if not using the corner brackets ).
