The Axis camera Burgess Technologies has helped deploy for the last 3 years has unfortunatley become end of life. That camera was the Axis P1428, 4K UHD resolution @ 3840 x 2160 4K Pixels. The replacement Axis Camera is the P1448-E. Due to new features such as integrated IR lights its cost as inflated.

This change of camera and price forced us to look at other technology. This is a plus point to our solution, in that we can add and configure different network cameras to our 4G CONTROL BOX, RAID-1 CLOUD SERVER & REMOTE MONITORING PORTAL

SOLAR PROJECTS

Below are examples from the camera we use for solar applications. This is a 2nd HIK 4K resolution camera. It has a fixed 2.8mm lens and a wide angle of 102 degrees. This camera is deployed because its power draw is less than the motorised lens version.

Axis is the Pioneer of Network Video and was acquired by Canon for £2 Billion, 3 years ago.

The HIK system does a good job. It captures and stores images in 4K UHD resolution. The lens is not quite as good as the Axis camera, but it’s decent. Will the produced films be viewed on mobile phones & computer screens ?…. If so, the difference between the 2 x options may not be noticed. The HIK system will reduce the upfront cost by £500/£600. Axis is the better manufacturer and offers addtional streaming options.

If live video viewing is priority then Axis is the best choice. Axis is more web-browser friendly and is a superiour live streaming camera. Most systems are deployed pre-configured to our 4G M2M Architecture & Time-Lapse Ready. Constant live streaming is not available over 4G. However, you can still record and export short video clips. You would need an available network for a constant live feed. This can be linked to our Portal or watched through YouTube apps on smart TV’s etc.

Our own-built, RAID-1 REMOTE MONITORING PORTAL is available with all our systems.

COMING SOON: Burgess Technologies is currently testing a system monitoring feature. If your camera has not sent an image for 30 minutes you will recieve an email alert. From there you can log in to check the system or ask us to help. More thank likely this will be on-site power related.
